Clash Duo Working On London Calling Film

Paul Simonon and Mick Jones from the Clash are working on a new film charting the recording of London Calling.

NME reports that the duo are acting as Executive Producers on a new film which is being written by Jez Butterworth.

"Fans of The Clash all over the world have been waiting a long time to see their extraordinary story played out properly and accurately on the big screen," said producer Alison Owen. "We're happy that Mick and Paul have given the project their blessing and are on board to help steer the ship."

The film is due to start shooting next year.

Another film about the life of Clash frontman Joe Strummer is also in the works.
