Clapton, Keith Richards To Play New York Show

The legendary guitarists will pay tribute to Hubert Sumlin

NJ.com reports that Clapton, Richards, Buddy Guy and Robert Randolph top the bill of the Howlin' For Hubert show, which will take place on 24 February at the Apollo Theatre in New York.

The all-star lineup of blues and rock musicians have signed to to honour the late blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin, who played with Howlin Wolf and was a hugely influential musician from the Chicago music scene.

Other performers, according to a lineup posted on ticketmaster.com, will include Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, James Cotton, Gary Clark, Jr., Shemekia Copeland, David Johansen, Danny Kortchmar, Keb' Mo', Ivan Neville, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Kim Wilson, and Doyle Bramhall II. 

The event will raise money for the Jazz Foundation of America.
