Chris Cornell Talks New Soundgarden Album
It will be a natural successor to the band\'s last studio album
"It definitely isn’t retro, definitely isn’t nostalgic,” Cornell tells Revolver Magazine. "It sounds to me like - I don’t want to say the next logical step because I don’t think logic has anything to do with it - but it sounds like we’ve picked up where we left off really.”
The band haven't released a studio album for 16 years, and it is expected to be released early next year.
Soundgarden have also revealed that they will play their first Australian dates since 1997 when they play two shows in the country in Sydney and Melbourne in January and February.
