Charity Bash For Plant

Percy\'s due to play a one-off show at his beloved Molineux next month

Robert Plant is to play a special one off show at his beloved Molineux to help launch Wolverhampton Wanderers favourite Steve Bull’s new charity.

The Steve Bull Foundation is being launched by the former England striker and it will specialise in assisting young people, the disabled, the homeless, the sick and the disadvantaged.

It will launch with a very special party on 20 August at Molineux’s Hayward Suite and Robert Plant will perform a solo set to help out his good friend.

"When I mentioned to Robert about this idea I had he said he would come and play at the launch party,” says Steve Bull. "I think he hoped I’d forget about it – but no chance! When Led Zeppelin made that comeback appearance at the O2 a while back, I was lucky enough to be there and was amazed at the show.

"So I’m holding Rob to his promise. To be fair, he said: ‘Well, I watched you enough times you might as well come and watch me!’ But what a night it’s going to be. ‘Planty’ live at Molineux – incredible. If that doesn’t pack the place, nothing will.”

A hotline for tickets, which for tables of 10 range from £1,000 to £2,000, has been set up on 0844 372 2491.

It’s been a busy week for Percy following a surprise appearance with American Chicano group Los Lobos in Chicago.

Plant performed an entirely unrehearsed and impromptu version of ‘Treat Her Right’ with the band at their show at the Taste Of Chicago. You can watch footage of the performance below.
