Cat Bite Scuppers Cold Chisel Gig
Plus the band announce their first album in 14 years
The Jimmy Barnes fronted Aussie band have been forced to postpone their Thursday show in Melbourne for a week after their guitarist was bitten by his cat.
Undercover News reports that the bite left Ian Moss' middle finger severely infected and badly swollen, rendering him unable to play guitar. Such is the nature of the injury that Moss is being kept in hospital on an intravenous drip. Doctors confirmed today that Moss will be unable to play this Thursday.
"I'm sorry to inconvenience our fans who had tickets for Thursday in Melbourne," says Moss. "It's amazing that something like a cat bite can lead to a postponed show - that's what happens when you call your album No Plans. Sorry to be a pussy, I look forward to making amends next week."
Meanwhile, the band are due to release No Plans, their first brand new studio album in 14 years, next week in Australia.
The album is produced by Kevin Shirley who helmed the latest records by BCC & Iron Maiden. As well as being their first album for more than a decade it is also their first album without founding member Steve Prestwich, who died last year (although he provides backing vocals on track from the album).Â
