Bret Michaels on Poison touring in 2017: ‘We're close to making it happen’
Poison frontman Bret Michaels says he’s highly hopeful a reunion tour will happen this year.
The Pennsylvanian rockers haven’t shared a public stage together since July 2013, however Bret says that he, Bobby Dall, C.C. DeVille and Rikki Rocket are “close” to joining forces once again very soon.
"It'd be great for Bobby and C.C. and Rikki and I to just be out there and have three months," he told Tampa Bay Times. "It's on my wish list, we're close to making it happen, and I know they want to do it, and they'll have a great time doing it."
Last July, Bret suggested that Poison might be hitting the road with Def Leppard once again in 2017, telling The Salt Lake Tribune: “Next year it'll be Poison and Def Leppard. The last time we were out was, I think, 2012, and we'll go out and bring it again, and it'll be insane."
However, months later Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen rubbished the claims telling US radio station 106.9 The Eagle: “You know, I think that was made up - I think it was Bret Michaels's wishful thinking.
“That was the first I've heard of it. I actually heard that as well, and it's, like, 'No!' But, yeah, we are gonna be touring, but we haven't got anything set in stone yet at all."
In the summer, Rikki Rockett broke the fantastic news that he was free of oral cancer after undergoing innovative new treatment. It was the same type of cancer Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson successfully battled.
