Bret Michaels Hospitalized

Poison frontman undergoes emergency surgery

Poison frontman Bret Michaels was rushed to hospital over the weekend

Moments before he was to take the stage in San Antonio, Doctors at Sea World urged Bret Michaels to go to the hospital as the singer had been suffering all day from severe stomach pains and what was assumed to be a severe case of the flu. After further examination by Doctors in San Antonio it was determined that the singer was suffering from an acute appendicitis.

Michaels remains in hospital in recovery, and it was found that had he performed at the San Antonio show his appendix would more than likely have burst and it is possible that he could have died.

Michaels is currently touring his Roses & Thorns solo tour which will see him play in 200 shows around North America.
