Bret Michaels Discharged From Hospital
Poison frontman on the road to recovery
Poison frontman Bret Michaels has been discharged from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a massive subarachnoid haemorrhage nearly two weeks ago.
The frontman was discharged from the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix yesterday with doctors announcing at a press conference that they expect Michaels to be back to his normal routine in 4-6 weeks.
Michaels is now apparently walking and can speak and communicate, and although doctors will monitor his recovery closely, with check ups every two weeks for some time, they are optimistic. Michaels’ doctor, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, told the press conference.
"At this point, I want to tell you that he has been discharged," the doctor said. "I can't tell you where, I can't tell you when, federal privacy laws prevent me from saying that.
"But he has been recently discharged and he continues to receive therapies. And we continue to monitor his laboratories daily, and we're adjusting his medications, and he is making a good recovery. I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100 percent recovery. He's just one of those lucky people."
