Bon Scott Statue Set For Scottish Hometown
The tribute will hopefully be unveiled in Kirremuir next year
The Daily Record reports that sculptor John McKenna has been asked to design a statue of the former AC/DC frontman by the Kirriemuir community group DD8 Music, who organise the annual Bon Scott Festival.
McKenna said: "It’s early days, but it’s a great honour. Bon Scott was an icon from my teenage years.”
Scott was born in Kirremuir and lived there until he was 6 when his family emigrated to Australia.
