After being in the works since 2008, Blabbermouth has reported that a biopic surrounding the life of deceased AC/DC frontman Bon Scott is now able to go ahead due to government funding.

The film, "Bon Scott", is being directed by Australian Eddie Martin, who has been working closely with the friends and family of Scott to gather the essentials for every aspect of the singer's life. Lizette Atkins is expected to be named as producer, while Stephen Clearly is likely to handle scriptwriting.

AC/DC fansites state that Screen Australia are said to have set aside an estimate of $20,000 AUD for the overall production, which has yet to name a single cast member.

A theatrical take on the career of Bon Scott, entitled Hell Aint A Bad Place To Be-The Story of Bon Scott, began its two week run on 12 July in Melbourne. Singer Nick Barker has been playing the role of Scott.
