The Daily Express reports that the rocker was the guest of honour at U.S. President Barack Obama's home in Washington D.C., and he met with government officials to talk through their Summer Jobs Plus scheme.

The program aims to boost youth employment and the Bon Jovi frontman was proud to be part of the discussions.

In a post on his Facebook.com page, he writes, "Here's how we spent our day: The White House Council met with youth, corporate representatives, various White House staff and the President as we discussed the Summer Jobs initiative... good day."
