Bon Jovi announce contest for local acts to support them on tour
Bon Jovi are looking for talented regional artists to support them on their upcoming 2017 This House Is Not For Sale Tour.
Following similar competitions on 2006’s Have A Nice Day Tour and 2010’s The Circle Tour, the rock giants are once again inviting bands to upload an audition video for the chance to open an arena date on their North American tour.
A different act will open at each of Bon Jovi’s tour dates and, according to a statement on the band’s website, the winners will ‘demonstrate that they have the sound, style, and substance to open an arena show.’
Once the videos are uploaded, concert promoters Live Nation will whittle them down to shortlist of 10 before Bon Jovi’s management team select the winner.
As an added incentive, together with performing live, the winners will feature on the Bon Jovi and Live Nation websites.
Jon Bon Jovi said, “Every great band starts small and builds their rep one show at a time. That’s the opportunity we were given and now we want to pay it forward.
“If you’re ready for the arena stage, submit your audition tapes and join us in playing for the best audiences in rock music.”
The This House Is Not For Sale Tour opens at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina on 8th February and wraps up at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on 11th April.
