Opening the day on the Planet Rock Main Stage were Raveneye followed by Wayward Sons and Ugly Kid Joe who got the crowd going with their energetic mid-afternoon set which included crowd-wowing hits such as Cats In The Cradle and Everything About You.

Meanwhile backstage, our very own Wyatt was joined by main stage headliners Black Stone Cherry ahead of their big set - listen to Planet Rock on Monday from 6pm for a Ramblin' Man Special to hear the backstage interview highlights.

Then followed a 70 minute long set from Illinois rock royalty Cheap Trick. The legendary band played crowd pleasing favourites from their huge catalogue including Surrender, I Want You To Want Me and The Flame.

But things really kicked off when the sun set over Mote Park and the day's much anticipated headliners Black Stone Cherry took to the stage to a huge crowd of excited fans.
