Blackberry Smoke premiere video for new song 'Hey Delilah'
Lifted from upcoming seventh album 'You Hear Georgia'
Blackberry Smoke have premiered a new song called ‘Hey Delilah’, the second taster of their upcoming seventh album ‘You Hear Georgia.’
Not to be confused with the Tom Jones song of the almost same name, ‘Hey Delilah’ is another southern rock gem from the Georgian band and follows the Planet Rock playlisted album title track ‘You Hear Georgia’, which was released last month.
Commenting on ‘Hey Delilah’, singer Charlie Starr says: "It's a good old scary Bible story with a New Orleans groove. Delilah has a cellphone now, though.”

Released on Friday 28th May 2021 via Legged Records/Thirty Tigers, ‘You Hear Georgia’ is Blackberry Smoke’s first studio album on three years.
The record features 10 all-new tracks and it was produced by their fellow Georgian native, esteemed producer Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Whiskey Myers, Lady Gaga).
‘You Hear Georgia’ also features special guest appearances from outlaw country musician Jamey Johnson (Lonesome For A Livin’) and Gov't Mule’s Warren Haynes (All Rise Again), together with background vocals from The Black Bettys.
As the title suggests, the songs on ‘You Hear Georgia’ pay homage to Georgia’s rich musical heritage and honour people, places and sounds of Blackberry Smoke’s beloved home state.
Charlie Starr says: “Lyrically, the song is about the South being misunderstood. It’s obviously a rough and tumble world, and there’s a lot of bad people, but there’s a lot of good people too.
“It started with the idea of how people might have a pre-conceived opinion of you because of a thick Southern accent, then expanded into the reality of how some people just seem to have such a hard time getting along, thanks to political or religious views, or simply what part of the country you come from.”
