Black Star Riders reveal ‘Heavy Fire’ lyric video
Ahead of the release of their third studio album ‘Heavy Fire’ this Friday (3rd February), Black Star Riders have debuted the lyric video for the title track.
Following hot on the heels of fellow album offshoots ‘When the Night Comes In’ and ‘Testify or Say Goodbye’, ‘Heavy Fire’ is a hard rock tour-de-force packed with potent lyrics and infused with the Thin Lizzy DNA.
Commenting on the song, Ricky Warwick said: “Only fools would believe that rock’n’roll can rejuvenate a world in the throes of a collapsing civilisation that's coming under heavy fire from all asunder. But what if the would-be fools are right?”
Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with esteemed producer Nick Raskulinecz, ‘Heavy Fire (the album) is the follow-up to May 2013’s ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’ and February 2015’s ‘The Killer Instinct.’
The band are taking ‘Heavy Fire’ on the road this March with support from Gun (all dates), The Amorettes (opening five shows) and Backyard Babies (final 11 shows).
“It seems like ages since we did the Leppard / Whitesnake tour so we are all really looking forward to be back out on the road with Black Star Riders,” says Ricky.
“Our third album will be out just prior to the dates so its going to be great to play tracks from that along with favourites from the first two records also. Having my old friends from Backyard Babies, Gun and The Amorettes out with us too is just icing on the cake to make a great tour!”
Tickets to the tour are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.
