Black Star Riders' 'Heavy Fire' sitting pretty at number two on UK album chart
Black Star Riders are on course for their highest UK chart position yet with their excellent new album ‘Heavy Fire’.
After three days of sales, Ricky, Scott, Damon, Robbie and Jimmy’s third record is currently sitting pretty at number two on the Official Album Chart.
Boasting the massive anthems ‘When the Night Comes In’, ‘Testify or Say Goodbye’ and the album title track, ‘Heavy Fire’ is a dead cert to smash Black Stars Riders’ previous chart peak of no.13 with ‘The Killer Instinct’ in 2015. Debut ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’ entered at no.25.
Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with esteemed producer Nick Raskulinecz, Black Star Riders are taking ‘Heavy Fire’ on tour this March taking in a total of 16 dates across the UK and Ireland.
Support on the opening five gigs comes from Scottish hard rock bastions Gun and The Amorettes, while Sweden’s prodigal sons Backyard Babies will join Gun on the remaining 11 dates.
“It seems like ages since we did the Leppard / Whitesnake tour so we are all really looking forward to be back out on the road with Black Star Riders,” says Ricky Warwick.
“Our third album will be out just prior to the dates so its going to be great to play tracks from that along with favourites from the first two records also. Having my old friends from Backyard Babies, Gun and The Amorettes out with us too is just icing on the cake to make a great tour!”
Tickets to the tour are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.
