Black Sabbath To Play London's Hyde Park

They'll headline on Friday July 4th.

Published 31st Mar 2014

As part of the Barclaycard British Summer Time gigs, Black Sabbath will be headlining the Great Oak Stage in Hyde Park on Friday July 4th, which is now known as Black Sabbath Time!

Completing the impressive main stage lineup are Soundgarden, Faith No More, Motorhead and Soufly. The event will also feature three other stages, with bands including Wolfmother and The Graveltones.

Ozzy Osbourne has said: "The first time I came to London I didn't have a pot to piss in and I spent the advance I got for the first album on a new pair of shoes and some Brut aftershave. Returning almost 50 years on, we are doing a bit better for ourselves so I may even splash out on some new aftershave before taking to the stage at Hyde Park, the most beautiful park in London that has opened its gates to so many legends in the past. We are beyond honoured to be allowed to put on a show and hope that the Royals will enjoy it!"

Our 48-hour ticket pre-sale starts 9am on Wednesday (2 March). GET YOUR TICKETS HERE!

The announcement came over the weekend, with a Black Sabbath logo being set ablaze in the royal park. You can see video footage of the stunt below:
