Gibbons is getting back together with his old band.

He formed garage-punk outfit Moving Sidewalks in Houston Texas in the 1960’s, before ZZ Top were on the scene.

The band weren’t exactly big, but they did have a decent regional following and their track ‘99th Floor’ was a hit in their home city in 1967. Their material can be found on garage band compilations from the era and also the ZZ Top anthology, ‘Chrome, Smoke and BBQ: The ZZ Top Box’.

Yesterday’s New York Times reports that Moving Sidewalks have scheduled a gig at BB King’s Blues Club and Grill in New York City on the 30th of March.
