US prog metallers added to Prog Stage for July bash
Prog metallers Bigelf have joined the line-up of this year's High Voltage Festival
The band will appear on the Prog Stage on Saturday 24 July on the day the stage is headlined by Transatlantic.
With three stages packed to the hilt with rock legends the High Voltage Festival features the most consistently excellent line-up of any festival this year. Fact.
As if persuading Emerson, Lake & Palmer to reform just to headline on Sunday 25 July wasn't enough, naming Texan legends ZZ Top as headliners on Saturday 24 July was just showing off.
In addition to the stellar headliners, the MAIN STAGE will see performances from Joe Bonamassa, Ian Hunter, Magnum, Foreigner, The Answer and Bachman & Turner, as well as a lot more acts still TBC.
Then over on the METAL HAMMER STAGE you will be able to catch headline performances from Down and Zack Wylde's Black Label Society as well as a set from the superb Clutch, not to mention bands such as Saxon and Hammerfall taking to the stage over the weekend.
Over on the PROG STAGE there is the mouthwatering prospect of seeing the world's best prog acts all in one place, with Asia, Marillion, Steve Hackett, The Reasoning, Touchstone, Pendragon and Focus all on the bill, along with an especially reformed original line-up of Argent.
And both Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash and the inimitable Uriah Heep will be going all retrospective on us by performing a classic album set apiece - Ash will be running through the stunning Argus, while Heep will be unleashing Demons & Wizards in its entirety.
In essence this Festival is threatening to pack ten years of gig-going into one very busy, very loud and VERY exciting weekend.

**Tickets for High Voltage will cost you £75 for a day ticket and £135 for a weekend ticket.
