Big Year Ahead For Pearl Jam
Band reveal a plethora of releases for the coming 12 months
Pearl Jam look set for a big year this year with news that they are to give their second and third albums the deluxe reissue treatment, release a new documentary film directed by Cameron Crowe and release a new book.
First up, the band reissue Vs and Vitalogy as deluxe editions in the spring. The format and extras for the reissues is yet to be announced, but their 1990 debut Ten was expanded and reissued in 2009 and is one of the finest reissues in recent memory.
A new film called Pearl Jam Twenty is also released later this year. Directed by Cameron Crowe the film looks set to be a career spanning documentary feature. Expect a book and soundtrack to go with the film.
Pearl Jam are also set to announce a music festival in the US in the summer.
The Seattle rockers have also promised "new, unexpected releases” at other points during the year.
And if you simply can’t wait for the Pearl Jam bonanza to start, they release new live compilation Death On Ten Legs next week.
