Beck & His Million Dollar Digits
A kitchen mishap prompts guitarist to insure his finger for £700k each
Jeff Beck has insured his fingers for $1m each after a kitchen mishap nearly ended his career.
The Mirror reports that the legendary blues guitarist has insured each of his fingers for $1m (approx £700,000) after he cut off the tip of one of his fingers when he was slicing carrots for a meal.
"Jeff was making a stew when he cut his finger clean off,” a source told The Mirror. "Thankfully surgeons were able to patch it up. But now he's taking no chances and has upped his insurance to $1million per finger."
Beck releases brand new album Emotion & Commotion today and will tour the UK in support of the record in October.
