Beatles Remasters To Arrive On Vinyl
It's that time of year again...
In November Beatles completists will be forking out a hefty sum of money once again as all of the band's 2009 CD remasters finally make their way to vinyl.
14 albums - pressed from the full 24-bit, 192KHz digital masters created in the 2009 remastering process, rather than the 16-bit masters used in production of the CDs - will be available in all: the 12 U.K. originals, plus the U.S. version of Magical Mystery Tour and Past Masters album.
The 180g records will be released in their stereo format, meaning that the first four albums will be released in stereo on vinyl for the first time ever.
Each of the albums will be released individually, but more tantalisingly there is a deluxe box set containing all of the records and a 12-x-12-inch, 252-page hardbound book with extensive photos and liner notes with back stories on the creation of each album and information on the restoration of the recordings for the vinyl pressings.
The reissues are coming on 12 November in Europe but super-completists might want to start saving their pennies as the mono mixes are coming to vinyl next year.
