BCC Riding High In Midweek Charts

Band currently sitting in the UK top five

Black Country Communion are looking set for a good chart position this Sunday after landing at number 5 in the midweeks.

The band’s debut album was released on Monday and after three days of sales the album was one of three new entries in the top five. If sales persist then the album could be Glenn Hughes’ highest charting record since Deep Purple and Joe Bonamassa’s highest charting album to date.

The album charts will almost certainly be topped at the weekend by the Manic Street Preachers as their brand new album, Postcards From A Young Man, is currently easily outselling Phil Collins’ new soul record which should stay in the top five for the second week running.

Interestingly, if the midweek chart stays the same for the remainder of the week it would mean that Phil Collins, Glenn Hughes and Robert Plant would all have albums in the UK album chart top 10.

In other BCC news, if you missed BCC’s live show on Monday night then make sure that you tune in tomorrow (Friday) night to hear a repeat of the whole thing. More info on that coming your way shortly.
