Axl Sued By Former Manager
GNR apparently being sued for nearly $2m
Axl Rose is being sued by his former management team.
TMZ.com reports that the GNR frontman is being sued by Front Line Management Group, whose chairman/CEO is longtime manager Irving Azoff, for $1,870,500 – a percentage of money earned from GNR’s current tour.
According to the lawsuit FLMG signed an agreement in 2008 that promised them 15% of the band’s earnings.
In the lawsuit, filed in L.A County Superior Court, Front Line claims the band made in excess of $12,470,000 while performing throughout Asia, Canada and South America.
Last month Axl Rose announced on Twitter that the band had appointed Doc McGhee, who has looked after the careers of Bon Jovi, Kiss and Motley Crue, as their manager.
Azoff is widely credited as being the driving force behind getting Chinese Democracy released in 2008, 15 years after the album was started.
