Anthrax Record Dio Cover
The band are contributing to the forthcoming tribute album
Anthrax have released some footage of drummer Charlie Benante laying down drum tracks for a cover of Neon Knights, which is set to appear on a new official Dio tribute album.
Organized by Ronnie’s wife/manager Wendy Dio, the project will tentatively include contributions from Metallica, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan, Alice Cooper, Glenn Hughes, Sebastian Bach, Chris Jericho and Dave Grohl.
"We recorded ‘Neon Knights’ for the new Ronnie James Dio Tribute CD. It came out pretty smoking,” guitarist Rob Caggiano told Guitar International last month.
