Trio of metal giants ready to rock Donington.

In case you've been living under a rock, the three headliners for Download Festival 2016 will be Rammstein (Friday), Black Sabbath (Saturday) and Iron Maiden (Sunday).

Rammstein were announced as the last piece of the jigsaw on Wednesday, (after Maiden and Sabbath respectively) and with typical bizarre humour released a one line statement: “Download is a festival; it is not a moon landing". Quite.

Festival organiser Andy Copping said: “It’s a match made in rock heaven. The mighty Iron Maiden back after another yet another number 1 album, the legendary Black Sabbath on their final tour and Rammstein who blow me away every time I see them – their headlining set at Download 2016 will make rock history.”

General sale and RIP (Rest In Peace) tickets go on sale Friday 23rd October at 9am from the Planet Rock Ticket Store.

This year you can book your tickets with the ticket deposit scheme – pay a little bit now, and a little bit over the next few months to spread the cost.
