Alice Cooper announces first album with original band in 52 years

Alice Cooper has announced a new studio album ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’ – his first with his original band in more than half a century.
The Alice Cooper band released seven studio albums between 1969 to 1973, including the blockbuster international smashes ‘School’s Out’ and ‘Billion Dollar Babies’, before Alice Cooper went on to launch a storied solo career.
5\2 years after their last album ‘Muscle of Love’, Alice Cooper has reunited with his band mates Michael Bruce (guitars), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) to record ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’.
The album is dedicated to founding lead guitarist Glen Buxton who died in 1997. Buxton also makes a posthumous appearance on the record thanks to a song incorporating an old demo.
Released on Friday 25th July 2025 via earMUSIC, ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’ boasts 14 songs and it’s produced by Bob Ezrin who worked on four 1970s albums by the band.
Alice Cooper tells Billboard: “It was very much like this was our next album after Muscle of Love, just like, ‘OK, this is the next album.’ Isn’t that funny after 50 years? All of a sudden it just falls into place.”
The album’s lead single ‘Black Mamba’ premieres later today, and Bob Ezrin says of the track: “When we started to play that it’s when I knew the spirit of the Alice Cooper group was back and that what we were making was very much an album that could’ve been in the 70s, when we were last together.
"It had the psychedelia, it had the artful drumming and bass playing, the great atmospheric guitars. It has Alice telling a really fabulous story, in character.”
Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith guest performed on three tracks on Alice Cooper’s 2017 solo album ‘Paranormal’. They also shared the stage together in Nashville, Tennessee in May of that year.
