Lifted from their first record in 52 years

Fresh from announcing their first studio album in 52 years ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’, the original Alice Cooper band have premiered lead single ‘Black Mamba’ and its accompanying music video.

Featuring guitars from Doors legend Robby Krieger, the gloriously sinister ‘Black Mamba’ packs a deadly bite and, sonically, it picks up exactly where the Alice Cooper group left off in 1973.

You can watch the ‘Black Mamba’ video below, which culminates with the band recreating the ‘Love it to Death’ album cover.

Although Michael Bruce (guitars), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) appeared on three tracks on Alice Cooper’s 2017 solo album ‘Paranormal’, ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’ is the original band’s first full record since 1973’s ‘Muscle of Love’.

The new album is dedicated to late Alice Cooper band guitarist Glen Buxton, who died in 1997, and his original guitars posthumously appear on the track ‘What Happened To You’ thanks to the discovery of an unreleased demo recording.

Produced by Bob Ezrin, who helmed four 1970s albums by the band, ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’ is released on Friday 25th July 2025 via earMUSIC.

A description of the 14-track record reads: ‘‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’ is a high-voltage journey into vintage horror and classic '70s shock rock, capturing the sound, energy, and mischief that made the original Alice Cooper band legendary.

Alice Cooper's 'The Revenge of Alice Cooper' album cover

‘This album is a celebration of friendship, nostalgia, and the timeless sound that solidified Alice Cooper as a rock icon. Fans can expect a powerful and nostalgic experience that bridges the gap between the band's storied past and their vibrant present.

‘From the venomous bite of ‘Black Mamba’ to the rebellious charge of ‘Wild Ones’, and the soft, haunting melodies of ‘See You on the Other Side’, every track feels like a rock ‘n’ roll classic.’

You can pre-order ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’ on various formats right here.

The Alice Cooper band released seven studio albums between 1969 to 1973, including the blockbuster international smashes ‘School’s Out’ and ‘Billion Dollar Babies’, before frontman Alice Cooper went on to launch a storied solo career.
