Aerosmith's Tom Hamilton Preps Autobiography

The \"tell all\" book will be with us soon

The rocker has revealed he is working on a book about his life in the music industry and he is promising fans it will be a "fun read".

He tells the Boston Herald, "It's not a book about who (slept with) who and how much coke everyone snorted. It will be inspirational and full of excitement and exhilaration - along with lies, cheating sex, drugs and everything everyone really wants to read about."

Hamilton has yet to sign a publishing deal for the tome, and he's considering turning the book into a fictionalised version of his memoirs to indulge his creative side.

He adds, "I haven't really said anything publicly until now about it. I wanted to get enough done so that I have at least established a voice before talking to publishers or editors... I'd like to dream up my own characters and situations but still be able to tell the personal side, the war stories."

Hamilton's bandmate, Steven Tyler, releases his autobiography Does The Noise In My Head Bother You on 3 May.
