Aerosmith to reunite for one-off live performance next week

Six months after retiring from touring, Aerosmith will reunite for a special one-off live performance next week.
The legendary rockers shared the “heartbreaking decision” on 3rd August 2024 that they were “retiring from the touring stage” due to frontman Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury.
According to Billboard, the five members of Aerosmith will share the stage together at the sixth annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party at Hollywood Palladium on Sunday 2nd February.
Suggesting that Steven Tyler might be ok to sing the odd song, three months prior to retiring from touring he belted out 'Mama Kin' with The Black Crowes at London's Eventim Apollo.
Other performers playing the fundraiser next week include Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt.
The star-studded charity event on 2nd February, supports Steven Tyler’s charity Janie’s Fund, which aids young women and girls who have survived abuse.
This year’s event also supports the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighter’s Fund.
“What the Los Angeles community has endured with these wildfires is unthinkable. Music has healing powers and we hope to bring a moment of joy and levity to our first-responder firefighters and those most affected by the fires,” says Steven Tyler.
“The trauma experienced by the girls we work with is also unthinkable and we will continue to shed light and support the amazing work of Janie’s Fund.”
