Aerosmith announce 2020 tour dates
Boston rock 'n' roll legends Aerosmith will be bringing their Las Vegas residency show to the UK in July next year.
Two years after their 'Aero-Vederci Baby' European "farewell" tour, which saw them headline Download Festival 2017, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer are returning to our shores with two huge arena shows.Â
The O2 in London will play host to the boys on Wednesday 15th July 2020, before Manchester Arena welcomes the 'Walk This Way' rockers on Saturday 18th July 2020.
Tickets go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets, 9am, Friday 13th December
The shows form part of the 'Deuces are Wild' tour, the result of their wildly popular 50+ date residency at the Park MGM in Las Vegas. 2020 sees the band celebrating an incredible 50 years together, after their inception in Boston in 1970 when Joe Perry and Steven Tyler merged their bands ('Jam Band' and 'Chain Reaction' respectively), to form Aerosmith.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame recipients' seeming "farewell" tour in 2017 was later played down by Tyler and Perry as deliberately mysterious, with Steven saying the tour name 'Aero-Vederci' was "like a 'hello, goodbye'".
Steven Tyler will be on our shores before his Aerosmith appointments, as a participant in Mick Fleetwood's one-off Peter Green celebration concert, at the London Palladium on Tuesday 25th February 2020.Â
Alongside Fleetwood and Tyler, amongst those performing are Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, John Mayall, Jonny Lang, Zak Starkey, and Bill Wyman.
