AC/DC, Hendrix, Petty, Stones Add Releases To Record Store Day
More limited singles for UK stores
After yesterday's announcement that Deep Purple are to release a limited edition 7" single for Record Store Day, it seems that there are many other reasons to seek out your local indie record shop and prepare to get there early on 16 April.
AC/DC will release a 7" single featuring versions of 'Shoot To Thrill' and 'War Machine' (we're not sure if they are live versions from their forthcoming live CD & DVD).
There will be a Jimi Hendrix single version of 'Fire' available on red 7" vinyl and CD single.
Emerson Lake & Palmer are currently due to be adding something to the releases, although it's not yet clear what will be available.
There will be a limited edition 3x7" vinyl set from REM, and a split single featuring ZZ Top and Mastodon both doing 'Just Got Paid'.
The Rolling Stones release a replica 7" EP version of Brown Sugar, Bitch and Let It Rock while Rush's latest single BU2B gets a physical release over here for the first time on 7" vinyl.
There are also releases from Pearl Jam, Ozzy and Queens Of The Stone Age.
