AC/DC Flying High With Iron Man Album

Band top charts around the world, including the UK

AC/DC’s Iron Man 2 album has topped the charts in the UK, and is shifting units by the truckload in the US.

The album, a collection of tracks from ten of the band’s studio albums from the years 1976-2008, topped the UK charts – giving the band just their THIRD UK number 1 album and tenth UK top ten record.

And in the US the album has shifted between 80,000-100,000 copies in its first week, which should see it easily make the top few chart positions.

The movie, which the album accompanies, is released nationwide tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, in other AC/DC news frontman Brian Johnson has signed up to write some songs for indie film, Doonby, which is about "a mysterious stranger who takes a job as a singing bartender and always seems to be in the right place at the right time, a quality that inspires a dangerous level of envy from his new neighbours."
