AC/DC Debut Single Sells For $1225

According to Noise 11, one AC/DC fan has paid $1225 a copy of ‘Can I Sit Next To You Girl’, the debut single from AC/DC.

‘Can I Sit Next To You Girl’ was only ever released in Australia and features lead vocals from original singer Dave Evans. The b-side was another original entitled ‘Rockin’ In The Parlour’.

The two songs were the only AC/DC recordings featuring Evans who was replaced soon after by Bon Scott. The single debuted on May 8, 1975 and reached no. 19 on the Australian chart.

AC/DC re-recorded ‘Can I Sit Next To You Girl’ for their second album ‘TNT’.
