AC/DC have now confirmed that founding member Malcolm Young will not be returning to the band.

The announcement accompanies that of their brand new album, 'Rock Or Bust', which the band have said will be released on December 1st through Columbia Records.

The Aussie legends have also confirmed the previous rumour that Stevie Young, nephew of Angus and Malcolm, will take up rhythm guitar duties.

The record will be the first in their 41-year career to not feature Malcolm, who has hung up his guitar due to the nature of his illness that took him out of action in April (the exact details of which are still unknown).

AC/DC fans will however have eleven new tracks to look forward to on the band's seventeenth studio album, the first of which will be premiered as part of the Major League Baseball coverage in the USA. A post on AC/DC's official website reveals that: "Starting September 27, Turner Sports will provide fans a sneak peek of the new track ‘Play Ball’ as part of the 2014 Major League Baseball Postseason campaign.".

The post also states that the band will undertake a world tour in 2015 in support of 'Rock Or Bust'.

More details when we have them!
