When still a fresh-faced teenager, Aaron Keylock released his debut solo album ‘Cut Against The Grain’ to critical acclaim in January 2017 and preceded it by embarking on a Planet Rock Roadstars Tour – including a coveted slot at Planet Rockstock – with co-headliners SIMO and Federal Charm in late 2016.

Still only 20-years-old, Aaron has now launched his new band Keylock who take their influences from acts including The Band, Free, Aerosmith and The Black Crowes.

Aaron started putting Keylock together in 2017 when he met Liverpool based lead singer Jonnie Hodson and they spent much of last year holed up writing songs and honing their musical identity.

Alongside Aaron and Jonnie, the five-piece band features Thom Carter on keyboards, Jack Browning on bass and Joe Major on drums.

Billing their live show as a Traveling Rock & Roll Circus, Keylock play their debut live show at The Camden Assembly in Chalk Farm, London on Monday 21st January. Tickets can be bought right here.

Commenting on his new project and debut gig, Aaron Keylock says: “I’m really excited to play the first show with my new band Keylock.

“I started putting it all together over 18 months ago, picking out the best musicians in the country and building my favourite rock n roll band. It’s been a very deliberate and methodical process. I’ve known for a long time the type of band I wanted to put together and wasn’t prepared to rush it until I found the perfect chemistry.

“We call ourselves a Travelling Rock n Roll Circus because that’s what it means to us. Our shows will be a celebration we want to take around the world.”

Singer Jonnie Hodson adds: "When Aaron got in touch, for me it was a no brainer for us to have a jam. When he came up to Liverpool the musical conversation between us was instant and writing together was very natural.

“We locked ourselves away in a cheap hotel room, Mick and Keef style and had 5 or 6 tunes on the first day.”

With more live shows in the pipeline, Keylock hope to release their debut album before the end of the year.
