A Spot Of Bother For Bret Michaels & Tommy Lee

Duo may find themselves in a legal bind after attending a shooting range in North Carolina

NME reports that glam-metal duo Tommy Lee and Bret Michaels have found themselves in a spot of bother after being reported to police for the possession of firearms.

The Motley Crue drummer and Poison frontman were escorted to a shooting range during some free time from their bands' co-headlining tour where a photo was taken of both men holding guns, which can be recorded as an apparent offence, as at least one of them has a criminal record (The law of North Carolina states that it is an offence 'for anyone convicted of a felony to purchase, own, posses or have in his care, custody or control any firearm.')

Local station WSOCTV are said to be responsible for reporting the duo to the authorities and NME quotes the station as saying "The sheriff and local police chiefs didn't know about it until we brought it to their attention. It could be illegal if any of those men have criminal records that prohibit them from using guns."

The station also stated, "The sheriff wants to know if the pictures show bad judgment, a policy problem or a crime."

The irony surrounding the entire mishap is that the twosome were accompanied to the firing range by a former police officer and were completely unaware of any lawbreaking.

Tommy Lee, whom has previously served 4 months in prison for assault, was typically unrepentant, describing the incident as "Absolute bullshit."
