A Guiness World Record for Rod?
Rod Stewart claims to have had the longest writing block of his career.
Stewart has claimed it took 20 years to create an album of new material. Entitled 'Time', the record is out on May 13.
The 68 year-old rocker says he only discovered he had the inspiration to write again after he finished penning his autobiography.
"I’d given up. Simple as that. I had a blank for two decades and just didn’t think I could do it. Then I started writing and it just happened" said Stewart in a recent interview.
"It has been the longest writer’s block ever," he added. "In fact, I should be in the Guinness Book Of World Records."
Both the singer's divorce and his new marriage are charted musically on the album.
