The Daily Express reports that shoe manufacturer Converse has rescued the ailing venue.

Rising rents threatened the historic venue last year but numerous musicians including Ronnie Wood, Mick Jagger, Liam Gallagher and Frank Black joined the campaign to save the venue from closure.

A statement from Converse says, "We at Converse are very excited about our new partnership with the legendary 100 Club in London."

Venue owner Jeff Horton said that he was "absolutely thrilled" that the club will be able to remain open.
