Woman airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after crash on A39 near Truro
The casualty was flown to Derriford after a car hit a tree at Playing Place

Police have confirmed a woman has suffered serious injuries following a crash on the A39 in Cornwall.
The casualty was airlifted to Derriford Hospital after a car came off the road at Playing Place near Truro and hit a tree.
Two people had to cut from the vehicle by firefighters, including the woman and a man who officers say suffered minor injuries.
A boy was also hurt and taken to Treliske, but his injuries are not understood to be serious.
Paramedics and Cornwall Air Ambulance were also scrambled on Friday afternoon.
The collision happened at around 4pm on 2nd September, closing the road for several hours.
Statement from Devon & Cornwall Police
A force spokesperson said: "Police were called to a single-car collision on the A39 at Playing Place, Truro, at 4pm on Friday 2nd September.
"The car left the road and was in collision with a tree.
"A man and a woman were trapped in the vehicle and were extracted by the fire service.
"Ambulance and the air ambulance also attended.
"The woman sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.
"The man suffered minor injuries.
"A child boy was also injured and taken to Treliske Hospital. Injuries not believed serious.
"The road was closed in both directions and fully reopened at 7.20pm".
