Woman in life threatening condition after crash at Ponsanooth

Two others sustained minor injuries

A woman is in hospital in a life threatening condition following a crash on the A393 in Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Pelean Cross, on the Lanner side of Ponsanooth, at around 2.22pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday 4 May).

It involved three vehicles, a white VW Tiguan, a blue Ford Kuga and a grey Peugeot 208 GT.

As a result of the incident, a 62-year-old woman was taken to Treliske Hospital in a life threatening condition, along with two other casualties with minor injuries.

Police officers from the Roads Policing Team, supported by local officers, conducted a thorough investigation of the scene.

Police would like to thank members of the public for their patience while the road was closed for the duration of the collision investigation.
