Icy conditions across Cornwall as fresh weather warning goes out
Another Met Office severe weather alert has been issued
After Cornwall saw snow flurries over the weekend, a fresh warning for ice has now been issued.
It came into force at midnight and is in place until 11am on Monday 25th January.
Parts of Cornwall wake up to snow
The Met Office warns of icy conditions on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle path, as well as the risk of injury from slipping on icy surfaces.
Rail travel could also be disrupted.
Drivers are being urged to take care on the roads.
"So if you're heading out first thing this Monday morning, expect there to be some fairly icy conditions, particularly on the untreated roads.
"But we have got plenty of sunshine and we're not expecting any further snow today."

Today:
A generally dry and cloudy start across the north of region with some scattered showers. Sunny intervals for the south and the east. Showers persists during the afternoon for the northern areas. Rather cold. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Tonight:
Remaining dry during the evening and overnight with clouds developing across the region. Clear skies for the southern areas, especially Devon. Remaining cold and wind strengthening. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Tuesday:
A cloudy start, but a band of rain, locally heavy, will move eastwards throughout the day. Rain turning lighter overnight accompanied with fog patches. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain for Wednesday turning heavy and persistent overnight. Becoming windy with coastal gales. Morning showers for Thursday turning drier overnight. Unsettled for Friday. Rather mild.
