Van overturns near Liskeard: police close A38 and all three rushed to hospital

A small van has overturned near Liskeard - and all three people inside have been rushed to hospital.

Police closed the westbound carriageway of the A38 between the B3251 Menheniot to A390 at Island Shop Junction in Liskeard for investigations into what happened.

The road was shut between 9am and about 12:15, when it then started to reopen to traffic, according to Inrix.

We don't yet know the extent of the injuries of anyone who was inside the van - but we do know it was a one-vehicle incident.

The van overturned at 07:55 this morning (23 April).

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police told us earlier: "This was a one-vehicle traffic collision with three people injured.

"It's not known at the moment if any of those injuries are life threatening are changing.

"The westbound carriageway of the A38 is shut where the incident happened as the police carry out their investigations."
