TWO sets of quintuplet lambs have been born on a farm in Cornwall in the space of a week!

To give you an idea of how rare that is in farming, Fentongollan Farm believes it is 'one in a million'.

Workers at Tregony, near Truro, told ITV News Westcountry they are used to having triplets and quads.

However, they said that this was the first time they have welcomed a set of quins that have survived!

The first set was born early last week and the second on Saturday (6th March) and all (and mum) are said to be doing well!

Shepherdess Jess Ellsmore has been looking after the newborns and, speaking to ITV News Westcountry, described it as a bumper lambing season!

"We believe it's one in a million. We're quite used to having triplets and quads, but this is the first time we've had a set of quins that have survived.

"They're all still doing well now and still with mum six days on".

Jess added: ''We're all over the moon and it's just nice to be able to share a bit of positive news in the midst of a pandemic".
