Two people remain in hospital with serious injuries

An appeal for dashcam footage has gone out after a serious crash on the A39 near Truro.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision at Buckshead on Saturday morning.

Three casualties were taken to Treliske and police say two remain in hospital with serious injuries.

A forensic examination of the scene was carried out and the road was closed.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact officers.

"On Saturday 12th September 2020 at approximately 1033 hours, police were called to a serious road traffic collision on the A39 near Buckshead, Truro.

"The collision involved three vehicles and three casualties were taken to Treliske Hospital as a result.

"Two of the persons involved remain in Treliske with serious injuries.

"Armed police officers, as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team, attended and a forensic examination of the scene was conducted.

"Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the road was re-opened. Police would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed."
