Stranded women rescued after getting cut off by high tide in Portreath
The two women were sent to hospital for checks after being left stranded in a cave

Two women were left stranded in a cave because of the high tide in the Porthreath area yesterday evening (May 22).
The Coastguard tell us a number of rescue were called out including the RNLI, rescue helicopters, police and ambulance.
The women have been taken to hospital after being rescued from the cave which they found themselves to be stuck in at just after 6pm.
In a statement sent to us, a spokesperson from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "HM Coastguard responded to a 999 call from a member of public reporting an incident in the Portreath area shortly after 6pm yesterday (22 May).
"Portreath and St Agnes Coastguard Rescue Teams, St Ives and St Agnes RNLI lifeboats have been sent, alongside Coastguard Rescue helicopters, Devon and Cornwall Police and the South Western Ambulance Service."
