The organisers of Boardmasters have announced the second wave of acts for 2022, including Bombay Bicycle Club and The Wombats and The Lathums.

60+ more join the line-up for Cornwall’s own surf and music festival, which will be headlined by George Ezra, Disclosure and Kings of Leon.

The major surf and music event at Newquay and Watergate Bay will be held from 10th - 14th August.

What do we know about the newly-announced acts?

Indie-rock band Bombay Bicycle Club are making a return to Cornish shores after releasing their fifth studio album ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’ in 2020.

Boardmasters has described them as one of Britain’s very best live bands, saying they "are sure to deliver an unmissable set" this summer.

The Wombats have what Boardmasters describes as an "arsenal of bangers" in a career spanning 15 years, including Let’s Dance To Joy Division, If You Ever Leave I’m Coming With You, Greek Tragedy and Moving To New York.

The Lathums join the Boardmasters line up for 2022 following a huge 2021, when their debut album ‘How Beautiful Can Life Be’ hit the top spot in the UK charts.

Also joining the line-up are BBC Introducing Artist of the Year 2021 Self Esteem, Greentea Peng, rapper Enny and popstar Mimi Webb.

Boardmasters said: "With more acts set to be announced, Boardmasters 2022 will be an incredible five-day celebration of music and surfing with the backdrop of the stunning Cornwall coastline".

Day Tickets for Boardmasters 2022 go on sale via pre-sale at 10am on Thursday 3rd February and remaining Day Tickets go on sale from 10am on Friday 4th February.
