Arrests and charges made after police operation in Newquay

A large police operation has taken place in Newquay to tackle a number of burglaries and driving offences.
Photos on social media showed a significant police presence in the Tregunnel Hill area.
In a statement, Chief Superintendent for Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Ben Deer, said: “Officers arrived at Tregunnel Hill, Newquay yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 17 August) as part of a dynamic policing operation.
"A large policing presence attended in connection to numerous offences allegedly linked to group who were residing in the Tregunnel Hill area.
"Wider searches of the location resulted in officers locating abandoned items believed to be stolen goods and these have been seized.
"Two men were arrested following yesterday’s policing action. A 34-year-old man originally from the Bradford area and a 35-year-old man originally from the Leeds area have both been charged with failure to stop and wilful obstruction of a highway, in connection to an incident that took place on the A30 near Okehampton on the morning of Thursday 11 August.
"They have both been bailed to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on Wednesday 29 September".
Chief Supt Deer added: “The group have since informed police of their desire to leave the area and we allowed this, but only once full vehicle checks were undertaken to ensure roadworthiness and that MOT, road tax and insurance for all vehicles were valid.
"Devon and Cornwall is a safe and welcoming place to both live and visit, but we will not tolerate criminality and will be investigated thoroughly."
