Police investigation following criminal damage at Cornish nursery

Officers have confirmed that no children were harmed in the alleged incidents

A police investigation is being carried out following a spate of criminal damage at a nursery in Cornwall.

Tiggers Too! in Blackwater, near Truro, has had to close after the reports were made several weeks ago.

Officers have confirmed that no children were harmed in the alleged incidents.

Parents who need to find alternative childcare provision are being supported by Cornwall Council.

"Police are investigating a series of allegations of criminal damage at Tiggers Too! Day Nursery in Blackwater near Truro.

"Police were made aware of concerns on Friday 4th June.

"No children have been harmed in the alleged incidents.

"Police are working with partner agencies (Cornwall Council and Ofsted) as part of ongoing enquiries."

Devon and Cornwall Police

The Council has confirmed it is supporting parents who need to find alternative nursery provision for their child or children, following the closure of the nursery.

"Parents and carers who need help to find alternative provision for their child or children, are asked to contact the Family Information Service on 0800 587 8191, which will be able to provide advice.

"The Health Visiting service is also available for advice and support  on 01872 322779  Monday to Friday 9-5pm or email hvsnadvice@cornwall.gov.uk"
