Armed police find gun near Camborne station
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences
After reports that armed police had been seen at Camborne railway station, police have told us a handgun has been recovered from nearby,
Officers were called at around 1.35pm on Friday 24 November, following reports of an incident on Basset Road, Camborne.
A man, believed to be in possession of a handgun, made threats to a man in the street.
The suspect left the scene.
Firearms and local officers attended.
Following a search, a handgun was recovered near the railway.
Two men were arrested in connection with this incident on suspicion of offences under the Firearms Act and remain in police custody.
